  • LGBTQ+ Affirming Therapy for Individuals & Couples

LGBTQ+ affirmative psychotherapy sessions provide a supportive, non-judgmental space for individuals and couples to explore both LGBTQ-specific challenges and broader life issues. While the sessions affirm and validate LGBTQ+ identities, they also address a wide range of concerns, such as relationships, mental health, career, family dynamics, and personal growth. I work collaboratively and relationally with clients, and use inclusive approaches that foster self-acceptance and resilience, as well as reduction in depression and anxiety symptoms by addressing the root of the issue rather than just the sypmtoms.

  • Intended Parent(s) Psychological Consultation

An intended parent psychological consultation is a session designed to support individuals or couples through the emotional and psychological aspects of the surrogacy or egg/sperm donation process. The consultation typically involves exploring expectations, addressing important issues, as well as concerns or challenges, regarding the journey ahead, as well as the preparation for it. It covers a wide variety of aspects surrounding the journey to parenthood, and it ensures that intended parents are mentally and emotionally equipped to navigate the complexities of assisted reproduction.

  • Egg Donor Screening

An egg donor screening is a comprehensive evaluation designed to assess the health, genetic background, and emotional and mental readiness of potential egg donors. The process includes medical testing, genetic screening, psychological assessments, and a review of the donor's personal history to ensure they meet the necessary criteria for egg donation according to the American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM) guidelines. This screening ensures that only the most qualified donors are selected for the fertility process, providing intended parents with peace of mind, and providing donors with the support they need before they embark on the journey of egg donation.

This screening addresses the motivations, expectations, emotional and mental health of the egg donor, as well as a medical and psychological history.

  • Gestational Carrier (Surrogate) Screening

A gestational carrier (aka surrogate) screening is a thorough evaluation to assess the health, medical history, and psychological readiness of someone considering carrying a child for another individual or couple. The process includes a physical exam, medical testing, genetic screening, and a psychological evaluation to ensure the carrier is physically and emotionally prepared for the surrogacy journey. This screening helps ensure a safe, successful pregnancy and supports the well-being of both the carrier and the intended parents.

The screening will address motivations and expectations, emotional and mental health, family and support system, past pregnancies experience, coping and communication skills, and commitment to the process.
